About Me
People say it all the time: my enthusiasm is palpable. And it’s because I absolutely love what I do.
The first 15 years of my career were largely in the public sector. I had done significant fundraising and governance work on various boards, including the McGill Organic Food Co-op and Sierra Club Ontario, but professionally I worked in various public communications and outreach roles, and always felt like I was spinning my wheels.
In 2018, I pivoted abruptly into the non-profit world. My communications background was highly transferrable into fundraising, and I began to have success right away.
I worked with various mentors, took advantage of countless professional development opportunities, and by my third year as a fundraiser, I had acquired my CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) and had built a $1,000,000.00 fundraising program that accounted for half of the organizational revenue. Our starting point had been just under $200,000.
Today, after having worked with numerous organizations to help them with their fundraising strategy and next steps, I’m excited to help more organizations build their fundraising program from the ground up.
